Early Years Parent Groups

The Early Years Parent Groups is an Early Education Program under the Outreach Programs and Services umbrella at CSDB.
This parent group is for families throughout Colorado with children who are deaf or hard of hearing, newborn to age five. The Early Years Program provides a place for families to come together to build relationships with other families, deaf and hard of hearing adults, and professionals in your community who work with young children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Families and professionals in your region will contribute to the design of your Early Years Parent Group. Families will help identify guest speakers and the location for the group to meet as well as planning activities and events. The Early Years Program provides support and networking opportunities for families. Our goal is to empower families to make informed decisions by providing them with emotional support and comprehensive unbiased information. We believe in a team approach and respect parents' rights.
The Early Years Program has specialists who are specifically trained to work with young children who are deaf or hard of hearing. These professionals can serve as a resource to your regional parent group. These specialists have knowledge and skills in the following areas:
