Community history

Eleven high school students, from the School for the Deaf, stand in front of a historical pioneer building. Some of our high school students, in the School for the Deaf, took a city bus to Old Colorado City, Thursday, October 12th. The students learned about public transportation and needs vs wants.  Students also toured the old historic building discussing how we have changed through history. They also read/navigated directions on the walking tour. Students learned that people in the past lived without a phone but had food, water, and shelter like we do. Students also learned how to follow the map on the Old Colorado City app. We had lunch at Bancroft Park.  It was such a beautiful day. Students enjoyed the experience.
