Math application to the real world

Three girls and a boy, in middle school, stand in front of the class leading a discussion.In the School for the Deaf middle school math classes, students are encouraged to discuss how to apply math concepts to the real world.  This focus helps them to understand how beneficial math is to their everyday lives.  Visual math strategies are always provided to students, helping them grasp difficult math concepts quickly.  At the end of first quarter, students will demonstrate all they have learned, by participating in an experiential learning project.
