Middle/High School Science

Science should be hands-on and ours is truly hands-on in every way possible. Jan Megarry, the science teacher, believes that hands-on experience is the best way for any student to learn and when one is lacking in vision makes this experience even more crucial. Science is captivating and should not be confusing so we look, touch, smell, hear, and describe science processes. It's very beneficial to use community resources and experts to assist in learning.

Physical Science and Earth Science are the subjects for this school year. The CDE Curriculum Standards are used to give direction in each of the areas. Students will learn through cooperative learning group projects, research, creating models, observations within the environment and under the microscope, and participating in the science fair. It is important that all of our students have every opportunity to understand the world within which they live.
