Middle School Special Needs

Students with special needs in the School for the Deaf Middle School enjoy spending one morning a week in the community. It gives them a chance to apply the functional academics and social skills they learn in the classroom. On a beautiful morning in September, the students walk to the local Farmer’s Market to purchase corn and beans which they will bring back to class and cook. They also stop by the National Fireman’s Memorial on their walk back to school.
