Karla McKechnie is the Multi Age/Multi Level classroom teacher who serves younger students with Severe Cognitive Needs, Severe Affective Needs and Moderate Needs who are also visually impaired.

Our classroom focuses on how to thrive and not just survive in our environment. We work on socially appropriate behaviors, being independent, and ability appropriate academic curriculum. A certified Braille Competent Teacher provides Braille to the students on a daily basis.

Each student is an individual with individual needs who needs to know how to work together as a team. All students have the same opportunity to learn and excel at a his/her own level.
