Middle/ High School Math

Karen Ortega-Sedlar comes to us from Littleton, Colorado. She received both her BA and MA from the University of Arizona. Her MA is in Special Education and Rehabilitation.

All math programs are assessment-driven to meet individual student's needs. Students are assessed at the beginning of each school year to determine their instructional level, and at the end of each school year to determine their growth. Students, who enter during the middle of any school year, will be assessed to determine their strengths and weaknesses before being placed into any math program materials.

Courses in the math program extend from the basics of everyday math to math that prepares students for college programs. Each student's math program is completely individual. Parents have the opportunity to direct the child's growth through the "Individualized Education Program" (IEP) and by direct contact with the instructor.

For information on this program, please contact Karen Ortega-Sedlar at 719-578-2201 or email at kos@csdb.org
