Student Health Center
The purpose of the SHC is to enhance the educational process by the modification or removal of health-related barriers to learning and by promotion of an optimal level of wellness.[ Image here ]
The SHC provides the following:
- Vision Screening
- Scoliosis Screening
- Health care plans
- Coordinates services with other health/medical organizations in the
community (Lens Crafters Program, medical appointments, lab work, dental
screening, ER visits, health/safety programs)
- Identify health problems and refer as needed within the school and
in the community.
- Staff Wellness
- Interpret medical orders and reports.
- Medication administration and monitoring
- Health Teaching
