About
The Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB) is a statewide Preschool–12 residential school with post–high school transition programs, located in Colorado Springs. CSDB serves Deaf, Blind, and DeafBlind students and their families through specialized instruction, small learning environments, and a strong residential and student life program.
CSDB includes the School for the Deaf, the School for the Blind, and postsecondary transition programming through Bridges to Life, which supports young adults in career readiness, postsecondary education, and independent living. In addition to campus-based programs, CSDB provides statewide outreach services and early childhood support, including coordination of the Colorado Home Intervention Program (CHIP) for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children from birth to age three.
CSDB is also home to the Colorado Instructional Materials Center (CIMC), which provides braille, large print, and accessible instructional materials to eligible students with low vision across Colorado.
