Overall Strategic Priority:
Colorado’s First‑Choice School and Statewide Leader
Goal: CSDB will be Colorado’s premier, first-choice school and trusted statewide leader for Deaf, Blind, and Deafblind students.
How this will be achieved: Families and IEP teams will choose CSDB early because of its specialized expertise and its delivery of equitable, academically rigorous education where students experience belonging, access, and strong outcomes.
By June 2031, Blind enrollment will double, and Deaf enrollment will triple.
Strategic Goal 1: CSDB Connect
Statewide Access and Support or CSDB Colorado Access Initiative
Goal: CSDB Statewide Outreach will be recognized as Colorado’s go-to educational resource center solidifying its role as the statewide resource center for Deaf*, Blind, and Deafblind individuals from birth to 21.
How this will be achieved: Expanding equitable access through the development and sustainability of regional and satellite programs.
By June 2031, CSDB Statewide Outreach will be recognized as the primary educational resource for Deaf and Blind students (birth–21) across Colorado, as measured by an increase of 200% in the total number of unduplicated students receiving at least one service with CSDB staff annually.

Goal: CSDB will prepare every graduate for an individualized, meaningful adult pathway.
How this will be achieved: By ensuring access to credentials or college coursework, sustained community‑based work experiences, entrepreneurship opportunities, and informed transition planning for employment, higher education, supported work, supported living, or adult day programs that are grounded in high expectations, self‑determination, and belonging.
By June 2031, at least 90% of CSDB graduates will be engaged in postsecondary education, employment, vocational training, supported work or supported living measured by Indicator 14 data.

By June 2031, 90% of staff vacancies will be filled and 90% of staff will report job satisfaction.

Increase the percentage of students meeting or exceeding academic, language and expanded core curriculum growth targets by 50%.

Understands budgets, credit, leases, SSI/SSDI, and DVR systems, because financial independence begins with financial knowledge.

Communicates with clarity and confidence across ASL, English, and ProTactile ASL, Braille, Spanish, and digital platforms.

Prepared for college, trades, entrepreneurship, or supported employment, with real credentials and every pathway equally valued.
