Services

The School for the Blind provides a rigorous, student-centered learning environment where K–12 students who are Blind, have Low Vision, or are DeafBlind build the knowledge, confidence, and skills to shape their own futures.

Through individualized instruction, accessible technology, the Expanded Core Curriculum, and meaningful learning experiences, students strengthen their academic skills, independence, self-advocacy, and ability to navigate the world. Programs support a broad range of learners, including students with additional disabilities, while honoring each student’s strengths, identity, and goals.

Students from the Colorado Springs area attend as day students, while eligible students from across Colorado may participate in CSDB’s residential program and typically return home each week. Whether preparing for graduation, further education, employment, independent living, or a return to their local school district, students are empowered to own their ascent and lead lives of purpose.
