The Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB) is proud to be accredited by the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER), a nationally recognized organization dedicated to advancing excellence in services for individuals who are blind or have low vision.
AER accreditation reflects that CSDB meets comprehensive, field-based standards across a wide range of programs and services, including K–12 instruction, assistive technology, orientation and mobility, the Low Vision Clinic, outreach services, and residential supports. The process includes a rigorous self-study, extensive documentation review, and an on-site evaluation conducted by trained professionals in the field.
As part of a national network of professionals and organizations, AER promotes innovation, collaboration, and the advancement of best practices—strengthening outcomes and expanding opportunities for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
