It’s been a few weeks since school began, and students are off to great start! The 3rd-6th grade students, in the School for the Deaf, recently established animal mascots for each student group: Sloth, Rabbit, and Koala. The students discussed which animal they preferred, explained why they chose the animals, and decorated posters with pictures of their mascots. An online application, “Class Dojos” provides a platform for teachers to communicate with families about what’s happening in the classroom. The class mascots will be used to connect family members to the correct student group. Sign up with your child’s teacher!
