College and Career Seminar

Several students stand in line to talk with agency representatives.Student, in the Bridges to Life transition program, attended the annual College and Career Seminar, at the Colorado Center for the Blind, in Littleton, Colorado. Students were able to experience talks from two very inspiring keynote speakers.  Both speakers shared their personal journeys, as individuals who are blind, seeking a career path. In addition, students were able to visit college and career exhibits such as the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Blind Institute of Technology, Team EEI and many more.  The afternoon allowed students to attend breakout sessions to gain valuable information from the Business Enterprise Program (BEP), Discovering and Uncovering a Career Goal, Preparing for College, Assistive Technology, the Federal Government Job Process, and Relaxation Station.  Attending the College and Career Seminar was very worthwhile and enjoyable, as these students move toward solidifying their own career and college paths.
