Color scheme paintings

Two high school girls and one boy hold artwork.High school students, in the School for the Deaf art class, completed color scheme triptychs (a series of three paintings intended to be displayed together). Each panel has a different color scheme with a single dominant color. Students learned about monochromatic, complementary, analogous, and triadic color schemes. They mixed their dominant colors (most chose an intermediate color as their dominant color) and then practiced making tints (adding white), shades (adding black), and tones (adding white and black).
