Scientists for a day

Two female and two male students, wearing goggles, examine a science experiment bubbling over onto the table. Two female students work on a science experiment, which oozed foam onto the table, while one female student takes a picture with her phone.Students, in the Junior Career Exploration class, became scientists for a day. Students, who are deaf/hard of hearing and blind/visually impaired, researched information, followed directions, mixed ingredients, and predicted results. The hands-on experiment was part of a focus on the STEAM pathway. STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The Junior Career Exploration class provides opportunities for students to explore and experience different careers, within each career pathway.
