Communication between CSDB staff and families is a top priority for us. Along with our teachers and staff, our Family Involvement team is dedicated to providing on-going, meaningful communication with parents/guardians. Families and community are encouraged to participate in activities that help support the education and development of CSDB students.
- Family Involvement Coordinators provide updated information to families through a variety of methods including, Facebook, monthly email blasts and annual surveys.
- CSDB hosts a number of activities, both social and academic, to allow for family involvement at the school.
- CSDB also hosts a number of workshops, performances and classes for families, including ASL and/or braille classes. Parents can participate in web streamed events.
- Parents are encouraged to monitor their students’ progress by requesting access to Canvas. Please contact Nancy Oates at CSDB for information and a password!

PARENT-STAFF ORGANIZATION (PSO)
CSDB has a PSO group that meets 3-4 times per year. The mission of the PSO is to promote open communication and collaboration between parents and staff. The efforts of the PSO serve to enhance and maximize the education of every child, through support of the school. If you are interested in attending PSO meetings, or would like more information, please contact either Candace Thompson (email@example.com: 719-291-9663), or Kathy Emter (kemter@CSDB.org: 719-578-2177).
CSDB Accountability meets on the first Wednesday of each month during the school year. During the Accountability Meeting, all school programs are reviewed as well as our progress toward the annual Schoolwide Plan.
